Who is Núria Macià Antolínez? She is a computer science PhD student from Andorra (the wonderful tiny country of the Pyrenees), living in Barcelona, Spain.

In 2006, she completed her degree in computer engineering at Enginyeria i Arquitectura La Salle – Universitat Ramon Llull and, then, she started her research career in the group of intelligent systems under the program “IT and their management” and Prof. Ester Bernadó Mansilla’s guidance. For more information, see GRSI’s site.

Her research gravitates on data complexity in supervised learning. Currently, she is working on the complexity measures proposed by Dr. Tin K. Ho. The final goal is to find the link between data characteristics and learners properties.

Núria is interested in many things which prowl around her mind all day, even nights: design, music, literature, art, and trips. Certainly, this enumeration contains many non-technical matters but she thinks that all of them are ancilliary knowledge to develop a good research.
