It is pretty common in the US for buildings to avoid the 13th floor …

I have been in at least 4 american buildings without this floor.

The great majority of important american buildings follows this superstition but the Empire State.

Hi!!

I’ve heard about what you’ve written…but it’s the first time I see a picture proving that the superstition actually existed xDD

I know there is a superstition, at least in UK, about colours and things. For instance, superstitious people will NOT eat yellow or green coloured candies…or they will never buy a green car. In contrast, in the UK to have a black cat it is not a signt of bad luck.
Weirdos… ^_^

Manny’s Music doesn’t close; it has been sold to Sam Ash (1924), another music store with a long history in The City. It will remain open under different name and owners. But, certainly, it is a pity that all history in those walls vanishes. It is true: nothing lasts forever. But Manny’s Music will always be alive in the heart of a lot of musicians and newyorkers.

They should have a hole in the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame.

PD: Were you recalling old and happy memories or hunting bargains?
